The goal of this exercise is simply to begin re-wiring your brain so that it becomes natural for you to make the sounds of spoken Spanish. So don’t worry about what these words mean. Just try to pronounce them exactly like the native speakers.

Diez. ¿A cómo está el cambio?
Ten. What’s the rate of exchange?

¿En billetes o en cheque?
In bills or a check?

Este cheque viajero.
This traveler’s check.

A cinco por uno, entonces. ¿Cómo lo quiere?
Five to one, then. How do you want it?

Ocho en billetes y dos en moneda. ¿Cuánto cuesta un taxi a la Embajada Americana?
Eight in bills and two in change. How much does a taxi to the American Embassy cost?
