Review in i-Tunes

Review at Podcast Alley

Listen Now

The subject of this episode is "Cardinal Numbers One to Ten." Listen as I say the numbers one to ten.

uno
dos
tres
cuatro
cinco
seis
siete
ocho
nueve
diez

Listen as I say the numbers again, along with their English equivalents.

uno - one
dos - two
tres - three
cuatro - four
cinco - five
seis - six
siete - seven
ocho - eight
nueve - nine
diez - ten

The number "one," or "uno," changes to "un" before a masculine noun and "una" before a feminine noun. Listen to a few examples.

un libro - one book
una casa - one house
un hombre - one man
una chica - one girl

When counting generically (one, two, three etc.) use "uno" but when counting specifically (one book, one house, and so forth), use "un" or "una." Listen to the examples one more time.

un libro - one book
una casa - one house
un hombre - one man
una chica - one girl

That wraps up our mini-episode on cardinal numbers one through ten.
