The Class ID is what you use to segregate your students into groups. If you have more than one class, you should use a separate Class ID for each class. How do I decide what to use for Class ID? When deciding on what to use for your Class IDs, try to come up with something that will immediately identify that class to you. For example, if you have three classes -- beginning, intermediate and advanced, you might use "101" "201" and "301" or perhaps "BEG" "INT" and "ADV". What happens when I "remove" a student? When you remove a student, your Teacher ID is actually removed from their student profile. This means that they will not show up in your gradebook. It also means that before you can monitor their progress, the student will need to re-enter your Teacher ID into their profile.
