A. Determine the direct object (DO) and the indirect object (IO). Write only the noun, not the article.

    John didn't write Mary a letter.

B. Change the following sentences so that they are negative, and replace the IO noun with the correct IO pronoun.

    Model:
    Compro el libro para Juan.
    No le compro el libro.

  1. Escribo una carta a mi novia.
    una carta.

  2. Guadalupe manda una carta a nosotros.
    Guadalupe una carta.

  3. El mesero da el menú a ellos.
    El mesero el menú.

  4. Ellos dan una propina a mí.
    Ellos una propina.

C. Translate the phrases. Do not abbreviate "usted" or "ustedes."

    Model:

    he doesn't give her (dar)
    él no le da
  1. they (masculine) don't give us (dar)


  2. they (feminine) don't give her (dar)


  3. you-all (formal) don't give me (dar)
